Since 1970, the Southern Demographic Association has hosted an annual meeting each fall, usually in October. The SDA meeting provides a friendly venue for people to present academic and applied demographic research, to discuss and learn about population issues, and to meet others with common interests.
2020 Annual Meeting
The Southern Demographic Association's board of directors met on Friday, April 24th, and determined that, in light of the COVID-19 pandemic, it is best not to hold a face-to-face annual meeting in October 2020. This decision was made to keep everyone healthy, to consider broader economic considerations, and to allow for an annual meeting that can appropriately honor and celebrate the 50th anniversary of our organization.
