"WSAS is an independent, nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization established by the Washington State Legislature to respond to scientific and technical questions to inform public policy. WSAS is uniquely poised to help Washington confront challenges in areas benefiting from our 375+ members’ expertise in physical sciences and mathematics, engineering and technology, biological sciences, health sciences, and social and behavioral sciences. WSAS directs member expertise toward solving some of the most complex scientific and technical problems facing our state by connecting experts to state agencies and non-governmental organizations.
